National Night Out 2026

The City of Sanford is coming together to celebrate the annual National Night Out on Tuesday, August 4th, with neighborhood visits taking place between 4:00PM and 9:00PM. Designed to heighten crime prevention awareness, strengthen neighborhood spirit, and generate support for local anti-crime programs, this annual community-police initiative gives residents an ideal opportunity to connect with local first responders, municipal officials, city staff, and fellow neighbors.

“30+ Years of Participation The City of Sanford has participated in National Night Out since 1993. Each year, the City has won the NNO National Award for recognition of outstanding participation in America’s Night Out Against Crime. In 2017, our program placed first in the nation for our population size and first in the state across all population sizes.”

With 19 sites across the city, we’re preparing for a fun and busy National Night Out (NNO! Cookouts, yard games, pool time — summer vibes will be in full effect as Sanford’s neighbors come together to strengthen their neighborhoods, meet local first responders, and stand together against crime.

-Berkley Park Place will host a community kickoff prayer at 9AM on August 4th. All are invited!
–Senior residents are welcome to attend a safety presentation at The Enrichment Center starting at 11:30AM on August 4th.

– Starbucks on Spring Lane
– West Landing

Registered neighborhood sites across the city will host cookouts, block parties, and gatherings while receiving visits throughout the evening from the Sanford Police Department and Sanford Fire Department.
