Enrichment Center of Lee County: “Pilgrims, Patriots and Pineapple Cookies” America 250

In honor of America’s 250th anniversary, join local author Barb (Trevett) Ballachino for a special event titled “Pilgrims, Patriots and Pineapple Cookies” on Thursday, July 16th, from 2PM-4PM. The session will delve into her book, which chronicles the Needham and Trevett families as they navigated religious persecution as Quakers in the Massachusetts Bay Colony and served during the Revolutionary War.
Participants will explore the impact these families had on the nation’s founding while also discussing the triumphs and pitfalls of researching family genealogy. Family artifacts will be shared and attendees can enjoy a pineapple cookie or two. Call 919-776-0501 ext. 2203 to reserve your spot.
